Morgan appeared in a Safe Sex for Men and Women informational video on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is also on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraising initiatives for the cause and also appeared in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to replace him on occasions at AIDS associated events. In addition, she was the host of an AIDS Awareness Special along with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline with regard to AIDS. Morgan is nominated to be the Emmy winner for Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season with Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. It also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the film, a psychological thriller that was produced by USA Network. The film garnered one of its greatest ratings of all time.
