Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews by music journalists and press. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. It was awe-inspiring to see the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather than as a job. The singer began to write songs of her own. At age 6, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. The singer says that she simply likes creating music. The music she composes is how she feels about any thing.
